OT Application Consultant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an OT Application Consultant to join our team at Vetropack, a leading producer of packaging glass in Europe. This remote role focuses on optimizing and enhancing our operational technology (OT) applications, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with our operational goals. As an OT Application Consultant, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and supporting the organization's digital transformation efforts.

What You'll Do

• Conduct operational process analysis to optimize complex workflows and ensure a high user experience with OT systems.
• Support the integration of OT applications with existing systems, ensuring they deliver value and align with operational goals.
• Manage the continuous improvement of existing and new OT applications, collaborating closely with IT Business Partners.
• Plan maintenance schedules for OT applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency during plant downtimes.
• Oversee smaller projects aimed at replacing or upgrading OT applications, coordinating activities for timely delivery.
• Provide technical solutions and support for configuring, programming, and troubleshooting OT applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Create training materials and documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

Requirements

• Knowledge of traditional manufacturing IT technologies, including Siemens PCS7, DCS, SCADA, and Fieldbus systems.
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing platforms such as Siemens MindSphere and GE Predix.
• Foundational competence in designing and implementing manufacturing IT architectures.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders and external partners.
• Solid understanding of business processes and the ability to visualize improvement potential.
• Adaptability to rapidly evolving technology landscapes and digital trends.
• Experience in managing large-scale organizational change and ensuring effective communication.
• Fluency in English and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
