Operations Director - Emergency & Aboriginal Health (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director - Emergency & Aboriginal Health to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in overseeing the strategic and operational management of critical healthcare services, ensuring excellence in patient care and education.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Emergency Department in collaboration with the Clinical Director to ensure timely emergency care and meet access performance targets.
• Work closely with the Mirring Ba Wirring Team and Aboriginal Health Controlled Organisations to address and close the healthcare gap.
• Provide leadership oversight for clinical education, managing the Nursing Education Manager.
• Manage contracts for external diagnostic services, ensuring compliance and quality of service.
• Oversee emergency management processes, supporting training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
• Significant experience in leading multidisciplinary teams within a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of the Victorian public hospital system and operational management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and contractual agreements effectively.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
