About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Business Analyst - Wealth Management Remote to join our dynamic team at Nomura. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and executing transactions that maximize profitability while minimizing risk. As part of our operations division, you will support our global financial services network and contribute to the seamless processing of securities transactions.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the settlement process for wealth clients, ensuring all Buy/Sell trades match and settle according to market practices.
  • Tackle exceptions in the business-as-usual (BAU) process and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Analyze new business initiatives and assess the capacity to support functions, including system enhancements.
  • Run projects or ad hoc tasks driven by business needs, such as system upgrades or specific requests.
  • Complete daily end-of-day tasks and reports, contributing to weekly and monthly KRI/trade volume reporting.
  • Review and streamline processes to improve efficiency and control within the team.
  • Participate in system enhancements and the rollout of new products or initiatives.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within investment banking.
  • Knowledge of equity, bonds, derivatives, and structured products.
  • Familiarity with life cycle events processing for security settlement trades.
  • Experience with clearing systems such as Euroclear and DTCC is a plus.
  • Wealth management experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT and custody services.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with the Avaloq system.
  • Basic exposure to workflow tools and data interpretation using digital skills or tools like Alteryx, Excel Macro, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
