About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Mid-Senior Improvement Advisor to join NHS Forth Valley Quality. This role is pivotal in supporting a range of high-profile programmes and projects across the organisation. As an Improvement Advisor, you will work closely with NHS Forth Valley and various Health and Social Care Partnerships to enhance the quality of services provided. Your focus will be on implementing strategies that add measurable value, ensuring positive outcomes for patients accessing our care. This is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact in the health sector while working collaboratively with a diverse team.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with clinicians and stakeholders to support improvement programmes in acute, community, and primary care settings.
  • Lead key projects that enhance experiences, outcomes, and safety for service users.
  • Build capability for quality improvement by applying the Forth Valley approach and coaching colleagues.
  • Utilize your expertise in quality improvement to influence and drive change across the organisation.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making.
  • Produce high-quality reports and communicate progress effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Foster creative thinking and innovation in multi-agency contexts to challenge norms and develop new ideas.
  • Travel throughout the service delivery area as required to fulfill the role's responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education and a lead-level quality improvement qualification or evidence of working towards this.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in training and applying the Model for Improvement.
  • Proven track record in innovation, service improvement, and change management within large, complex organisations.
  • Experience coaching multidisciplinary teams in improvement work.
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and innovation skills, particularly in multi-agency and whole-system contexts.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the service delivery area.
  • Completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare settings outside of the UK.
  • Familiarity with digital health technologies and their application in quality improvement.
  • Additional qualifications in project management or related fields.
