Mid-Senior Backend Developer - PHP/​Golang Remote

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at Kaufland e-commerce. As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge technology and designing scalable backend solutions that enhance the customer shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces using PHP and/or Golang.
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring in production environments.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders and engineers to achieve common goals through effective communication.
• Contribute to the evolution of our development processes and methodologies by exploring new tools and technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code while adhering to best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers during pair programming sessions, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Requirements

• Completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in backend development with a strong focus on PHP and/or Golang.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture, along with familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong drive for continuous personal and team development.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to embrace our company culture and values.
• Enjoy working in an international, English-speaking team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
