Mid-Level Software Engineer - Partner Builds (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team at Future, a global multi-platform media company. This remote Software Engineer position allows you to contribute to the architecture and design of our systems while collaborating with engineers at all levels. You will play a crucial role in delivering our platform to meet customer needs and drive our growth in the digital publishing industry.

What You'll Do

• Develop software using C# and SQL Server, writing clean, efficient code while creating database solutions that enhance application functionality and performance.
• Engage in integration development by creating and consuming integrations (REST/SOAP/JSON) to facilitate connections between our main system and external partners.
• Adopt a test-driven development approach to ensure maintainable partner integrations, building a safety net for rapid scaling without regressions.
• Utilize Docker for containerization of applications, collaborating with senior engineers to deploy and manage these applications effectively.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and mentor junior developers, shaping our technical roadmap and solving complex problems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and bugs, maintaining system reliability and ensuring a high-quality user experience.
• Engage in regular hack days to prototype innovative solutions using the latest technology.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on C# and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of integration development and experience with REST/SOAP/JSON.
• Familiarity with test-driven development practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior developers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in the media or technology industry is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
