About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. This Platform Engineer remote position is perfect for those who thrive on solving complex technical challenges in a large-scale, on-premise environment. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between infrastructure and software development, contributing to our mission of building a robust platform that supports our internal product teams.

What You'll Do

• Take a leading role in troubleshooting complex microservices and Java applications, collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Manage and maintain our on-premise infrastructure, primarily built on Kubernetes (KubeSpray), Proxmox, and bare metal servers.
• Enhance our CI/CD capabilities by maintaining and providing libraries for tools like Jenkins and Argo CD.
• Play a key role in our network architecture, managing firewalls, network policies, and helping to adopt advanced networking with BGP.
• Collaborate on migrating legacy workloads from VMs to a modern, containerized Kubernetes environment.
• Actively share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team culture, helping to break down silos and upskill the entire team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role with a focus on infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills—this is your number one asset.
• A software development background is highly desirable, especially with experience in troubleshooting Java applications (e.g., using JSTACK, JMAP).
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and scripting/automation tools like Ansible.
• A strong understanding of networking concepts.
• Knowledge of BGP, Cilium, or Calico is a significant plus.
• An enthusiastic, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for learning and sharing knowledge.
• The ability to work autonomously and get started right away.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
