Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst 1 - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst 1 to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for cybersecurity operations, incident response, and defensive cyber measures supporting the Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) program under the U.S. Army PEO STRI. As a SOC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our systems and data by continuously monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats.

What You'll Do

• Conduct 24/7 monitoring and analysis of security incidents to ensure rapid response to cyber threats.
• Implement and maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and best practices.
• Generate reports related to FISMA, RMF ConMon, and security incidents.
• Utilize enterprise cyber tools to operate, maintain, and deploy security measures effectively.
• Support the production of documentation and artifacts for cybersecurity requirements as per DoDI 8510 and AR 25-2.
• Perform incident response for all security incidents and prepare incident reports for appropriate personnel.
• Analyze and correlate audit records using Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Monitor and control communications at external boundaries, including unauthorized software detection.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity or IT Security; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience for Associate’s degree holders; fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s degree are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity operations, including protection, detection, response, and sustainment.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies and emerging innovations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating technical reports.
• Experience with tools such as Splunk, ACAS, and Cisco ASA Firewalls.
• Must possess a Secret clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with the DoD, U.S. Army, or Federal Government.
• Certifications such as Security+ or CYSA+.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux (RHEL) environments.
