Medior Data Engineer - Python & AWS for MedTech

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Medior Data Engineer to join our team in a hybrid working setup. As a Medior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming real-world device data into actionable insights that enhance patient care. This Medior Data Engineer position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of an innovative MedTech scale-up, contributing to the development of a next-generation robotic medical device.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain production-grade ETL and ELT pipelines that support operational insights and long-term product performance.
• Develop Python-based data pipelines using modern libraries such as Polars, Pandas, PyArrow, or PySpark.
• Run data pipelines in containerized environments and integrate them with AWS orchestration services.
• Collaborate with a Senior Data Engineer to enhance performance and robustness of data systems.
• Investigate data issues, extend automated quality checks, and translate requirements into clean datasets and clear dashboards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern data tooling.
• Experience with AWS-native services, particularly S3.
• Hands-on experience with ETL or ELT pipelines in data lake or lakehouse environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a regulated environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts.
