About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at The Urology Group. This Medical Assistant role offers a unique opportunity to support the delivery of urological services while working remotely. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient care and satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the medical office running smoothly.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
- Measure and record vital signs, and document patient history and chief complaints.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, disease management, and home treatments.
- Assist physicians during examinations and perform routine screening tests.
- Conduct phlebotomy and collect lab specimens as needed.
- Prepare and administer medications with physician authorization.
- Maintain accurate and legal documentation of all patient interactions.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 months of experience working in a physician’s office, preferably in urology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems operations such as EMR and Practice Management Solutions.
Nice to Have
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
- Experience with project management and vendor relations.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
