About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Repair Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of mobile mining equipment. As a Mechanical Repair Technician remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment in both shop and field environments.
What You'll Do
- Safely maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mobile mining equipment including CAT 793B, C & D haul trucks, and more.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on mobile support equipment such as forklifts and diesel trucks.
- Execute and support the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety program as required by OIS policy.
- Work both in the maintenance shop and in the field to ensure equipment is operational.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Repair Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mobile mining equipment and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience with specific brands such as Komatsu, CAT, and Dresser.
- Certifications related to heavy machinery maintenance.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
