About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Repair Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of mobile mining equipment. As a Mechanical Repair Technician remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment in both shop and field environments.

What You'll Do

  • Safely maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mobile mining equipment including CAT 793B, C & D haul trucks, and more.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on mobile support equipment such as forklifts and diesel trucks.
  • Execute and support the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety program as required by OIS policy.
  • Work both in the maintenance shop and in the field to ensure equipment is operational.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Repair Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile mining equipment and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with specific brands such as Komatsu, CAT, and Dresser.
  • Certifications related to heavy machinery maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
