Production Supply Operator - Food Manufacturing
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supply Operator to join our team at McCain Foods. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. As a Production Supply Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating all packaging between Dry Stores and Production, ensuring that all packaging is accounted for on SAP, and that all returns have been actioned while maintaining company standards of hygiene, quality, and safety.
What You'll Do
- Maintain SAP within the Packing area while continually monitoring COOISPI figures.
- Ensure all stocks of tote movements within the Tote Room area are registered on the SAP system, including rework.
- Monitor hourly OEE and packing figures to ensure they are correct and up to date.
- Create and release any unplanned process orders, including rework and sanitation.
- Coordinate and audit all packing traceability and food safety documentation, ensuring it is delivered to the main QA team for archiving at the end of each shift.
- Monitor and audit the Packing department weights and measures on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Check all packaging availability at the start of every shift to ensure the continual running of the production plant.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to use your own initiative.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a production or supply chain role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Experience with auditing and documentation processes.
