About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Manager for the Graduate School to oversee research postgraduate administration in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in advancing the University’s strategic vision by providing exceptional administrative support for research postgraduate education.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of administrative staff to ensure smooth operations of research postgraduate programs, from admission to graduation.
  • Develop and optimize workflows and policies to enhance student experience, leveraging systems for streamlined processes.
  • Oversee data verification and compliance to maintain the integrity of student records.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and stakeholders to strengthen engagement and collaboration.
  • Plan and deliver research skills training and professional development initiatives for students.
  • Analyze program data and student feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate committee meetings and prepare necessary documentation for quality assurance.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on system enhancements to support strategic planning needs.

Requirements

  • A good undergraduate degree is required; a research degree is an advantage.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in academic or research administration.
  • Strong understanding of the research postgraduate landscape and student needs.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Aptitude for data analysis and proficiency in managing databases and spreadsheets.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in developing training programs for postgraduate students.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes in higher education.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools.
