About the Role

We're hiring a Management Accountant to join our team remotely at Brown Thomas Arnotts. In this role, you'll support the delivery of accurate and timely financial and management reporting, enabling informed business decision-making. As a Management Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in our finance team, contributing to the monthly and quarterly close processes while ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Support the preparation and completion of Monthly Management Accounts ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Deliver month-end analysis of costs, variances, and financial performance to management and budget holders.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform monthly stock reconciliations and review weekly stock adjustments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations to audit standard on a monthly basis.
  • Support internal and external audits by responding to audit queries and providing documentation.
  • Analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and performance insights.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.

Requirements

  • Qualified / Qualified by Experience Accountant (ACCA / CIMA) with 2–5 years Management Accounting experience.
  • Strong financial analysis, reporting, and data interpretation skills.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a retail or commercial environment is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of financial systems such as FSM, Cognos, or Qlikview is advantageous.
