Local People Partner (HR) - E-Mobility Sector

About the Role

We are seeking a Local People Partner (HR) to join ABB E-mobility, a leader in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector. This Local People Partner (HR) remote position is pivotal in driving local HR activities for our teams in Germany and Switzerland. You will play a crucial role in supporting our growth by attracting and retaining top talent while ensuring that our HR strategies align with our global vision.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary HR contact for leaders and employees in Germany and Switzerland, translating local needs into actionable initiatives.
• Lead and contribute to HR projects, ensuring alignment with broader HR strategies.
• Oversee and continuously improve HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
• Lead and support works council negotiations, preparing documentation and advising leaders on co-determination requirements.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of IG Metall tariff structures to ensure correct interpretation of collective agreements.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues across different teams and locations, being part of the wider People Enablement Team.
• Report to the Global People Partner, contributing to the overall HR strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of German labor law and IG Metall tariff agreements.
• Experience working with works councils, including negotiations and co-determination processes.
• Ability to manage complex HR topics with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in German and English; French is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the E-mobility or electric vehicle sector.
• Familiarity with international HR practices.
