Linux System Administrator - On-Site Role in The Hague
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Linux System Administrator to join our team in The Hague. In this full-time on-site role, you will work closely with a collaborative team of highly skilled software engineers and IT professionals to maintain, optimize, and enhance a reliable and scalable Linux-based infrastructure. As a Linux System Administrator, you will have the flexibility to design creative and efficient solutions while supporting critical systems and services.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and continuously improve Linux-based infrastructure and services.
- Provide hardware and software support to internal teams.
- Automate, standardize, and document IT processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage data center equipment, including server rack installation.
- Perform periodic environment audits and enforce security and industry standards.
- Conduct remote troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Manage the full lifecycle of servers and deploy new solutions.
- Monitor system performance and manage capacity planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience working with Linux (experience with Windows is a plus).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting servers and storage systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across teams and drive them to completion.
- Strong knowledge of open-source tools and configuration management/automation using Ansible.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Python and/or Shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Certifications in Linux, network, or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, RHCE, etc.) are a plus.

- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
