What You'll Do
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record residents' vital signs and health status.
- Communicate with physicians, residents, and families regarding any changes in health or care plans.
- Document all patient care and observations accurately and timely.
- Assist with resident care plans, care conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care is being provided.
- Act as a liaison between resident, family, and healthcare providers.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to residents and their families.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain nursing license and stay current on industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Mississippi.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
