Lead UX Designer - Remote Position at JPS Tech Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Lead UX Designer to join our dynamic team at JPS Tech Solutions. This Lead UX Designer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead design initiatives and create user-centered designs for complex applications. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, ensuring that our products are not only functional but also visually appealing and user-friendly.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design process, creating high-fidelity, interactive designs using Figma.
• Act as the primary design advocate, presenting and defending design decisions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation of designs through Design QA.
• Lead quarterly PI Planning design activities, ensuring alignment with Agile project timelines.
• Develop and maintain design systems to ensure product consistency and efficiency.
• Utilize tools such as Figma, FigJam, Jira, and Confluence for design and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, advocating for user-centric design strategies.
• Travel approximately 25% to support local workshops and quarterly events.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio of user-centered designs.
• Proven experience working with design systems and Agile methodologies.
• Expert-level proficiency in design tools like Figma and prototyping tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be local to the Northeast Corridor and able to travel for workshops.
