About the Role
We're hiring a Lead Software Engineer focused on AI solutions to join our innovative team. This remote position allows you to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI and machine learning solutions that tackle large-scale challenges. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AI capabilities within our program.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI and ML systems that meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Lead AI/ML project workstreams independently, coordinating with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams.
- Serve as an internal consultant to engineering teams, aiding in identifying and implementing AI solutions.
- Mentor and coach engineers and peers by reviewing code, sharing best practices, and fostering technical growth.
- Translate business requirements into robust, well-architected AI software solutions using sound engineering principles.
- Optimize models and systems for scalability, reliability, and performance in production.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of internal AI platforms and tooling to improve development workflows and deployment efficiency.
- Stay updated on AI/ML research and industry trends and assess their applicability to real-world use cases.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience deploying models in production using cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure).
- Familiarity with MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, or Ray).
- Knowledge of deep learning, NLP, or generative AI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in AI/ML.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Publications or contributions to AI/ML communities.
