This remote Lead Software Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to transition into a CTO role while working on cutting-edge AI-assisted development projects in the PropTech and FinTech sectors. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling a SaaS platform that revolutionizes property management in the United Kingdom.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of a greenfield SaaS platform using Laravel, Flutter, and Dart.
  • Design and implement software architecture and systems that enhance performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and client needs.
  • Utilize CI/CD practices to streamline software development processes.
  • Incorporate AI technologies to improve development efficiency and product offerings.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients and stakeholders, requiring occasional travel to London.
  • Transition into a CTO role, leading the software engineering team as the company grows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer with a strong background in Laravel and PHP.
  • Expertise in Flutter and Dart for mobile application development.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD practices and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
  • Strong architectural design skills and a passion for AI-assisted development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Must reside in the United Kingdom, ideally within a 2-hour commute to London.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the PropTech or FinTech industry.
  • Familiarity with SQL and API development.
