About the Role
We are excited to offer a Land Transactions Intern - Remote position at Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST). This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector, specifically focusing on land conservation efforts on the San Francisco Peninsula and South Bay. As a Land Transactions Intern - Remote, you will support various aspects of land protection work and collaborate with a dedicated team committed to preserving natural resources.
What You'll Do
- Support land protection projects by assisting with research and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the Transactions Coordinator and Real Estate Specialist to facilitate project workflows.
- Track and maintain project data and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Develop informational materials for projects to communicate goals and progress effectively.
- Assist in maintaining transactional records and documentation.
- Attend meetings, take notes, and provide summaries to the team.
- Gain insights into land trusts and conservation goals, enhancing your understanding of the field.
- Work towards fostering an equitable and inclusive culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Education or experience in land conservation or real estate is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for data management.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Google Slides for presentations.
- Self-motivated and a creative problem solver, capable of working independently.
- Ability to work effectively in teams with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- A valid driver's license and insurable driving record are required.
- A passion for the outdoors and natural resources is highly valued.

- Experience with legal documents related to land transactions is beneficial.
