About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Cloud Engineer to join our team at Tide. This remote Staff Cloud Engineer position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is transforming the small business banking market. With over 1.8 million members across the UK, India, Germany, and France, Tide is dedicated to providing SMEs with innovative banking solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions that enhance our platform.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to foster a collaborative and high-velocity engineering environment.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud computing technologies and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-based and networking issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business needs.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support our cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in distributed computing and cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub.
• Hands-on experience with Argo CD, APIs, containers, and cloud security.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with GitOps as a deployment methodology.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Pair Coding.
• Ability to automate processes using Infrastructure as Code.
