IT Support Engineer - Remote Position at CIT
About the Role
We're hiring an IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at CIT. This IT Support Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to work with a passionate team dedicated to empowering businesses through innovative technology solutions.
What You'll Do
- Resolve customer service tickets and provide ongoing support across desktop, server, network infrastructure, and cloud computing environments.
- Manage, update, and support customer infrastructure including firewalls, switches, access points, hypervisors, servers, and Microsoft Azure.
- Prioritize and address high-impact tickets efficiently to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate regularly with customers and CIT employees to address and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities, including ticket updates and customer interactions.
- Meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to ticket resolution time and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing education and training, obtaining necessary certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Network+ within the first year.
- Work in a fully remote environment, with a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in computer networking, NOC, or helpdesk environments.
- Advanced knowledge of managing network devices and configurations.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of experience with a managed service provider (MSP).
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA.

Who Will Succeed Here
Proficient in troubleshooting and configuring Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, demonstrating a strong understanding of user management and security protocols within a cloud environment.
Self-motivated and proactive in a remote work setting, able to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple customer support tickets while maintaining high service levels.
Hands-on experience with network configuration and monitoring tools, coupled with a problem-solving mindset to address complex IT issues and improve customer satisfaction.
