Internship in Electrochemical Engineering - Climate Tech

About the Role

Join Phlair as an Intern in Electrochemical Engineering and help shape the future of climate technology! This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology that aims to reverse the effects of pollution and climate change. As an intern, you will play a vital role in our mission to enable a carbon-negative future.

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of a stack testbench and contribute to its improvements and maintenance.
• Independently complete a suite of electrochemical characterization techniques and tests.
• Process, analyze, and report electrochemical data to ensure high-quality results.
• Refine electrochemical testing operations for consistency and reliability.
• Maintain an organized and clean testing area to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

• Successfully completed a bachelor or master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge of electrochemistry, including water electrolysis, hydrogen fuel cells, Power2X, or redox flow batteries.
• Experience in a lab environment and ability to work with us for at least 6 months.
• Methodical and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Reliable and independent work ethic, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and ambitious timelines.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in electrochemical technologies.
• Experience building and maintaining electrochemical test benches.
• Hands-on experience using electrochemical techniques.
