About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Hospital in the Home (HITH) Consultant to join Eastern Health, providing high-quality acute care remotely. This role is perfect for specialists passionate about delivering patient-centered care in a flexible environment.

What You'll Do

• Deliver acute, hospital-substitution care to patients in their homes and in the HITH clinic.
• Apply advanced clinical skills and lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Support Registrars and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and innovation of the HITH service.
• Engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a compassionate approach.

Requirements

• Current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner.
• Post Graduate qualifications as a Fellow of RACP, ACEM, or RACGP.
• Strong commitment to high-quality care and clinical proficiency across common HITH presentations.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Leadership experience and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Emergency Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Geriatric Medicine, or General Medicine.
• Familiarity with virtual care models and digital health technologies.
