Health, Safety, Environment, and Security Manager - Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, Environment, and Security Manager to join our team in the manufacturing sector. This position is pivotal in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all employees while contributing to the overall success of the business. As a Health, Safety, Environment, and Security Manager, you will lead site-wide programs that protect employees, assets, and the environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement HSES policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage and maintain OSHA recordkeeping and reporting systems.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSES practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of safety drills and emergency response activities.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Monitor and analyze HSES performance metrics and implement necessary changes to improve results.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in managing HSES in a multi-plant environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety practices.
  • Experience in program development and delivering training programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification would be a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with environmental compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems.
