Hand Finisher - 1st Shift (Remote Work Available)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Hand Finisher to join our team at TurbineAero. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will perform hand finishing tasks with minimal supervision. As a Hand Finisher, you will be responsible for deburring and inspecting components, ensuring they meet the required specifications. This role is ideal for individuals who have a positive attitude and are eager to learn and grow within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
What You'll Do
- Perform hand finishing, deburring, and inspection of components using appropriate tooling.
- Hand grind various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension.
- Chamfer, radius, and grind parts according to blueprints and work instructions.
- Read and interpret basic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation while promoting good housekeeping practices.
- Follow all company policies, including safety instructions.
- Participate in cross-training in various disciplines within the hand finish area.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in component repair.
- 2 years of experience with inspection tooling and processes.
- Familiarity with FAA part 145 Repair Stations and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Lean and 5S principles is preferred.
