About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Guest Service Representative to join our team remotely. As a Guest Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Jacksonville, IL. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a positive experience from check-in to check-out. This Guest Service Representative role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately.
• Answer all incoming and in-house phone calls, assisting callers with reservations and inquiries.
• Provide guests with information about local attractions and entertainment venues.
• Assist guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience during their stay.
• Communicate effectively with guests and employees, both verbally and in writing.
• Handle hotel laundry and other operational tasks as required.
• Maintain a professional and energetic demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Great attention to detail and a passion for customer service.
• Excellent knowledge of local attractions and entertainment venues.
• Familiarity with computer systems for registration and reservations.
• Above-average mathematical comprehension for operational tasks.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and resolve conflicts.
• Prior experience in a comparable hotel size and scope is preferred.
