About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Guest Service Representative to join our team remotely. As a Guest Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Jacksonville, IL. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy interacting with people. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a positive experience from check-in to check-out. This Guest Service Representative role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Perform the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately.
  • Answer all incoming and in-house phone calls, assisting callers with reservations and inquiries.
  • Provide guests with information about local attractions and entertainment venues.
  • Assist guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience during their stay.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and employees, both verbally and in writing.
  • Handle hotel laundry and other operational tasks as required.
  • Maintain a professional and energetic demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Great attention to detail and a passion for customer service.
  • Excellent knowledge of local attractions and entertainment venues.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for registration and reservations.
  • Above-average mathematical comprehension for operational tasks.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and resolve conflicts.
  • Prior experience in a comparable hotel size and scope is preferred.
