About the Role

We're seeking a Graphic Design Technical Mentor - Remote to guide aspiring designers through a transformative 16-week program. As a mentor, you will focus on critical areas such as typography, layout, cultural storytelling, and branding while fostering a collaborative creative community. What You'll Do

• Provide technical support in graphic design, helping learners navigate through complex concepts.
• Facilitate live study sessions on various design themes, ensuring an engaging learning experience.
• Guide learners in building impressive portfolios and case studies that showcase their skills.
• Engage with learners through community events, enhancing their educational journey.
• Mentor emerging designers on essential design principles and best practices.
• Support learners using various design tools, including Adobe Suite and Canva.
• Encourage peer critiques and collaboration to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain a positive studio culture that promotes creativity and inclusivity.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong grasp of typography, layout, and branding.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Suite and Canva.
• Experience mentoring early-stage designers and guiding them through their creative processes.
• Ability to communicate complex design concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
• Comfortable working in a digital-first environment with strong empathy and communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to motivate a learning community.
• Experience with mobile-first workflows is a plus.
