Environmental Project Coordinator Internship - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Environmental Project Coordinator Intern to join our team at Holcim. This remote internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in sustainable construction practices while working closely with our Environmental Services team. As an Environmental Project Coordinator Intern, you will assist in implementing environmental audits and performance assessments, contributing to our mission of promoting sustainability in the construction industry.

What You'll Do

• Support the Environmental Manager in conducting compliance audits and performance evaluations.
• Provide environmental expertise to operational teams to enhance pollution risk management and incident response.
• Assist in biodiversity initiatives, including habitat creation and local partnerships.
• Track environmental performance indicators and help implement group-wide sustainability actions.
• Engage in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including employee awareness and carbon footprint assessments.
• Prepare educational materials and facilitate environmental awareness sessions for teams.
• Communicate effectively with team members through training and emergency drills.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bac+4/5 degree in Environmental Science or Sustainable Development.
• Previous internship or work experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Certification in RSE, ISO 14001, or Carbon Footprint Analysis is a plus.
• Proficiency in QGIS is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills, analytical mindset, and effective communication abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver's license (Permis B).
