Gift Officer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Gift Officer to join our team remotely. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of philanthropy within our community, engaging with donors and prospects to support McCallie School's mission. As a Gift Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing relationships and executing strategic fundraising initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with an assigned portfolio of constituents.
- Enhance existing relationships while building new connections to tap into community support and generosity.
- Manage a significant portfolio of donor prospects and completed gift proposals, ensuring timely updates and data integrity.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to develop and execute innovative fundraising programs that grow engagement and giving.
- Support the ongoing work of Donor Stewardship on both broad and individual scales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or applicable sales/business development.
- Proven success in soliciting and closing charitable gifts or a strong sales record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including nights and weekends.
