About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance Instructor for Technical English (IT) - Remote to join GFN GmbH, an education provider specializing in IT. This role offers you the opportunity to teach technical English to individuals pursuing careers in IT, supporting their further education and career reorientation. As a remote instructor, you will conduct multi-week courses that cover essential topics in the IT industry.

What You'll Do

  • Teach technical English courses focused on IT professions, including hardware, data storage, operating systems, networks, and IT security.
  • Provide training on tools and learning strategies relevant to the IT job market.
  • Facilitate email correspondence training and product presentations to enhance participants' communication skills.
  • Engage in active participation in developing new training concepts and methodologies.
  • Support participants with varying knowledge levels, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other instructors for knowledge exchange and professional development.
  • Provide feedback and support for teaching and methodological questions.
  • Prepare teaching materials and resources for effective course delivery.

Requirements

  • Completed studies or training in foreign languages or relevant further education.
  • Pedagogical-didactic certification, such as Teaching English As A Foreign Language (TEFL) or trainer certification from IHK.
  • Enjoyment in teaching and the ability to support participants with varying knowledge levels.
  • Prior teaching experience in adult education is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge and a high affinity for IT are advantageous.
