About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Freelance Fantasy Author to join our team at MovieWeb. This is a remote position where you can work from anywhere in the world. As a Freelance Fantasy Author, you will contribute to Movie & TV news articles, focusing on the Fantasy genre. Your creativity and writing skills will play a crucial role in delivering engaging content to our audience.

What You'll Do

• Write articles in MovieWeb's house style, ensuring high-quality content.
• Follow requisite training for fact-checking and formatting.
• Brainstorm and pitch original content ideas related to the Fantasy genre.
• Accept and apply feedback from the editorial team to improve your writing.
• Communicate openly with the team to ensure alignment on content goals.
• Analyze content and support claims with credible source material.
• Maintain a sharp eye for grammatical details and overall article quality.
• Work comfortably in a virtual environment, meeting deadlines with quick turnaround.

Requirements

• Previous writing experience is required; editing experience is a plus.
• Strong command of the English language with excellent writing skills.
• Broad knowledge of the Fantasy world, including major titles and trends.
• Ability to write high-quality articles quickly and efficiently.
• General understanding of culture and strong research skills.
