Technical Field Advisor - Gas Turbines (Remote)

About the Role

FieldCore is seeking engaged and driven individuals with a passion for engineering to join our Accelerated Field Engineering Program and Technical Field team based in the UK. This Technical Field Advisor role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the management of site activities for Gas Turbines. As a Technical Field Advisor, you will play a crucial role in helping customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health and security.

What You'll Do

• Enroll in FieldCore’s Accelerated Field Engineering Program (FEP-A), a fast-track development path designed for professionals with relevant field, mechanical, or turbine experience.
• Gain hands-on experience and grow your career while traveling the world to provide power to communities.
• Manage site activities including planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources such as labor, tools, and technical assistance.
• Perform hands-on work and maintain Gas Turbines, ensuring compliance with GE safety standards.
• Lead and manage on-site systems and equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical instruction regarding operation and maintenance at customer sites.
• Write technical reports and prepare job status updates for customers.
• Direct and manage aftermarket upgrades at the site level.

Requirements

• Fluency in English with strong technical competence and a passion for engineering.
• A strong ownership and work ethic, along with a desire to learn and problem-solve.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• A formal education in Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's degree) is preferred but not required; total experience and professional achievements are valued more.
• Willingness to travel extensively overseas and work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the energy sector, particularly in power generation and gas turbine maintenance.
• Leadership experience in managing field operations.
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance in engineering environments.
