Events Manager - Luxury Hotel Experience Required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team at Shangri-La Yuanqu, Suzhou. This Events Manager remote position plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events and maximizing guest satisfaction. You will work closely with various departments to achieve revenue goals and maintain the highest standards of service.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Director of Events Management in achieving departmental revenue goals.
- Accurately manage and control all events bookings to maximize function space occupancy rates.
- Supervise event executives and coordinators, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
- Specialize in Food and Beverage programs tailored to meet client needs.
- Maintain a professional image in appearance and conduct while interacting with clients and hotel staff.
- Act as a liaison between clients and hotel operations, ensuring all information is accurate and billing arrangements are clear.
- Follow up with clients via phone and written communication to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Review proposals and discuss group profiles with appropriate sales personnel.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a luxury restaurant or 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for interacting with people.
- Mature and logical thinking abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
