About the Role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team for a remote position focused on a critical space project. This role offers the opportunity to work on embedded software development for satellites, contributing to the aerospace industry. You will be part of a specialized team responsible for designing, developing, and verifying real-time software systems that meet the highest industry standards.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop embedded software for space systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in software testing, integration, and technical documentation.
  • Utilize programming languages such as C and Python for real-time embedded systems.
  • Work with RTOS systems like RTEMS, VxWorks, and FreeRTOS.
  • Manage software configuration using tools like GIT and SVN.
  • Conduct software verification and validation, including test specification and execution.
  • Document software architecture and design using UML and SysML.
  • Adhere to coding standards, particularly MISRA-C, and utilize Docker or Podman for containerization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • 3-5 years of experience in embedded software development for the aerospace or aviation sector.
  • Proficiency in C and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with embedded architectures such as ARM Cortex, RISC-V, or PowerPC.
  • Familiarity with software verification and validation processes.
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces (CAN, RS422/485, LVDS) and boot software.
  • English proficiency at B2 level is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as SCRUM, CMMI, or PMP.
  • Understanding of the PUS standard and software quality assurance practices.
