About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Donor Engagement Intern - Remote to join the Resource Development team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations. As a Donor Engagement Intern - Remote, you will play a vital role in supporting donor stewardship, data management, and administrative tasks that strengthen relationships with our supporters.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with donor acknowledgments and maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce.
  • Support the merging of duplicate records and the cleanup of outdated accounts.
  • Help create donor lists for campaigns and reporting purposes.
  • Generate basic reports on donor activity and engagement metrics.
  • Prepare thank-you letters and acknowledgment emails for donors.
  • Assist with event-related invoicing and documentation of expenses.
  • Record in-kind donations and assist with coding gifts in Salesforce.
  • Support invoicing processes related to donations and pledges, working closely with Finance to reconcile donation records.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in nonprofit work and donor relations.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in fundraising or donor engagement.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Basic understanding of nonprofit financial processes.
