Design Director - Trading Experience for Crypto Exchange

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Design Director for Trading to join our team at OKX, a leading crypto exchange. This Design Director, Trading remote position will focus on shaping the user experience for our onshore trading products, ensuring they align with our business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Define and own the design strategy and user experience vision for onshore trading products.
• Influence product strategy to reduce risk and accelerate successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to create evidence-backed recommendations.
• Lead design excellence by establishing exceptional craft standards across the design organization.
• Facilitate workshops and strategic sessions to translate ambiguous problems into actionable design direction.
• Own end-to-end user journeys from problem definition through post-launch iteration.
• Build and develop a high-performing design team with strong craft capability.
• Leverage behavioral data and user research to validate design decisions and measure outcomes.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product design experience, including 5+ years in design leadership.
• Proven ability to turn customer insight into measurable business outcomes.
• Deep experience designing for financial products and understanding regulatory constraints.
• Exceptional visual and interaction design sensibility with a strong portfolio.
• Mastery of design thinking facilitation and ability to lead workshops with executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services.
• Background working with global teams across multiple time zones.
