Senior Product Designer - Transforming SMB Banking

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to join Relay, a digital banking platform focused on empowering small business owners. As a Senior Product Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our small business banking platform, ensuring that our users have clarity and confidence in managing their finances. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on how thousands of entrepreneurs make better financial decisions.

What You'll Do

• Own design end-to-end: from discovery and problem framing through prototyping to polished, production-ready designs that ship and deliver impact.
• Raise the craft bar: Create elegant, intuitive, and aesthetically refined interfaces that make banking delightful, not daunting.
• Tell the story: Communicate design rationale through storytelling and artifacts that inspire clarity and alignment across product and engineering.
• Be a design leader: Give and solicit feedback in critique, mentor peers, and contribute to a culture of detail-obsession, openness, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure cohesive design execution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product design, with a track record of shipping impactful work.
• Experience designing SaaS-based products.
• Strong visual sensibility paired with thoughtful UX design.
• Ability to advocate for design principles and explain rationale clearly.
• Experience with both generative and evaluative research to frame problems and validate solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech or other complex system domains.
• Familiarity with front-end development, motion design, or illustration.
• Experience mentoring or coaching peers.
