Contract /​ Legal Expert - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Are you a seasoned legal expert passionate about shaping commercial contracting strategy and ensuring compliance across the DE/EMEA region? As our Contract / Legal Expert remote, you will own commercial contracting for SCG, ensuring pragmatic and compliant templates and negotiations across NL/DE. This role is pivotal in establishing robust legal frameworks and supporting our operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts; manage redlines and develop playbooks.
• Advise on Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Intellectual Property (IP), liability, warranties, and regulatory posture.
• Coordinate effectively with external counsel when required.
• Complete key commercial templates (MSA, SoW, DPA, Partner, SLA) within 60–90 days.
• Reduce contract cycle time by ≥20% within 6 months.
• Ensure no material contract compliance issues are found during audits.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commercial contracting (tech/SaaS or engineering).
• Working knowledge of NL and/or DE law.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Business-enabling risk posture.

Nice to Have

• Experience with privacy/cyber (GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Public procurement experience.
• Dutch language proficiency.
