Commercial Strategy Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We’re hiring a Commercial Strategy Manager to join our team and lead our commercial initiatives remotely. At Monzo, we’re on a mission to make money work for everyone, and as a Commercial Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business banking strategies.

What You'll Do

• Craft clear commercial strategies across channels, products, and markets for Business Banking.
• Monitor the effectiveness of initiatives and financial performance, using data to adapt strategies.
• Develop compelling business cases for product expansion and distribution initiatives.
• Craft pricing strategies and business models for our products.
• Make key build/partner decisions for vital product lines and features.
• Present and align our strategy at senior forums, including ExCo and the Board.
• Support sales and partnerships led initiatives to accelerate growth.
• Own the initial phases of new product and commercial initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong track record of defining and delivering commercial success for a business line.
• Significant experience in a high-growth startup/scale-up environment.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and anticipate future trends.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with analytical rigor and execution certainty.
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is driven by impact and ownership.
• Ability to foster collaboration and drive decisions without authority.
• Experience building and growing business products in a high-growth company.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial and software products.
• Familiarity with the UK banking landscape.
• Previous roles in commercial strategy or product management.
