Business Onboarding Specialist - Remote Role at Kraken

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Onboarding Specialist - Remote to join our dynamic team at Kraken. This role is pivotal in ensuring that new business clients have a seamless onboarding experience. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the onboarding process, ensuring compliance and providing exceptional support. What You'll Do

• Facilitate the onboarding of business clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Conduct thorough client research and communicate effectively via email.
• Perform Know Your Business (KYB) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) practices.
• Adhere to Kraken’s AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies and procedures.
• Identify and escalate suspicious documents to the appropriate teams.
• Collaborate on departmental and cross-functional projects.
• Update and maintain client information as requested.
• Incorporate client feedback to continuously improve the onboarding process.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in KYB-related roles in financial services, crypto, or client support.
• Basic understanding of regulatory KYB/CDD and AML requirements.
• Passion for delivering a 6-star client experience with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours and weekends as needed.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written English communication skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with a goal-oriented mindset.
• Openness to work with cross-functional teams to solve client issues.
• People-centered, supportive, flexible, and a team player.

Nice to Have

• Proficient in using AI tools for day-to-day operations.
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Google Sheets / MS Excel.
• Proven experience with cryptocurrency.
• Fluency in additional languages such as French, Portuguese, or German.
