Accounts Payable Assistant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Assistant - Remote to join our dynamic team at Nottingham City Council. In this role, you will support the Accounts Payable function within the East Midlands Shared Services, ensuring efficiency and exceptional customer service in our financial operations.

What You'll Do

• Process transactions accurately and efficiently to support front-line services.
• Utilize Oracle Financial systems or similar for financial transactions.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all accounts payable activities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries as needed.

Requirements

• NVQ Finance Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in ICT systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in a finance or customer service environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Oracle Financial systems.
• Understanding of purchase to pay processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
