Accounting Manager - Financial Operations Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our team at Patrice and Associates Franchising LLC. This full-time position is based in Waco, TX, and offers a competitive salary of $95,000 On Target Earnings, which includes an 80-85K base salary along with a performance bonus of 10% or more. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead a small team in managing accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and administrative functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and the preparation of financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with retail and operations teams to optimize processes and support daily business operations.
• Prepare board and lender reports, presenting key financial insights to leadership.
• Mentor and develop your team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience; a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required (CPA is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, audits, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly close processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Experience in leading a team and developing staff through coaching and mentorship.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Confident communicator, able to present financial insights to senior leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
