Vice President of Engineering - Remote

About the Role

LastPass is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As the VP of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the engineering strategy that powers our product portfolio. This position is ideal for a seasoned technology leader who is passionate about driving technical excellence and innovation in the cybersecurity space.

What You'll Do

• Lead a global team of engineers, architects, and technical leaders across EMEA and North America, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate the product roadmap into actionable Engineering deliverables, driving alignment and resolving interdependencies across teams.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Champion the roll-out of AI-driven software development practices to enhance efficiency and code quality.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing Engineering organization, cultivating the next generation of leaders.
• Maintain and evolve metrics and KPIs to measure Engineering performance and product quality.
• Optimize resource allocation, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Software Engineering executive leadership with a track record of delivering complex, high-quality products.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical strategies with broader company goals.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in SaaS environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Ability to cultivate a culture of accountability, diversity, and continuous learning within the team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI technologies and DevOps practices.
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity industry.
• Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields.
