Vehicle Technician /​ MOT Tester - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are hiring a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our team at Halfords. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while ensuring vehicles are safe and well-maintained. As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll perform MOT tests to DVSA standards and conduct a variety of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks. What You'll Do

• Conduct MOT tests and ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance services.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent experience.
• Valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Full driver’s license with no more than 9 points.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with electric vehicles.
• Knowledge of the latest automotive technologies.
• Customer service experience in an automotive setting.
