Utility Operator - Remote Position for Aluminium Production

About the Role

We're hiring a Utility Operator - Remote Position to join Emirates Global Aluminium, the world’s largest producer of premium aluminium. This role is crucial in supporting the production of molten aluminium effectively and efficiently. As a Utility Operator, you will undergo on-the-job training to develop the necessary skills to operate reduction cells.

What You'll Do

• Assist the PTM operator in safely changing anodes and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Prepare tapping holes and perform metal and bath sampling for quality control.
• Engage in housekeeping and assist in various operational tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Attend on-the-job training sessions to enhance your skills in operating Pot Tending Machines and other equipment.
• Monitor and report hazards to reduce incident frequency rates and contribute to a zero LTI goal.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate.
• At least one year of experience in a heavy industry is preferred.
• Strong physical fitness and the ability to work on shift schedules.
• Willingness to learn about the Aluminium Smelting Process.
• Effective English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Pot Tending Machines and Anode Beam Raising Equipment.
• Familiarity with general Potroom tools and equipment.
