Temporary Accountant - Remote Position at Trean Corporation

About the Role

We are seeking a Temporary Accountant - Remote to join Trean Corporation, a dynamic organization focused on fostering strong relationships with insurance producers and agencies. In this role, you will work directly with the Assistant Divisional Controller on the Sapiens Reinsurance PRO system implementation initiative. This is a 6-month contract position that offers a unique opportunity to enhance your accounting skills while working in a fully remote environment.

What You'll Do

• Review and validate premium and loss cessions calculated by Reinsurance PRO.
• Ensure system accuracy and confirm calculations align with Program Accountants manual billings.
• Assist in validating system premium and loss calculations to ensure accurate results by program.
• Investigate discrepancies between system calculations and manual processing results.
• Collaborate with program accounting staff and IT to assist with data validation.
• Conduct high-level analysis of system Pre-Production versus Production and validate results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reconciliation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Experience with Sapiens Reinsurance PRO system.
