Working Student - Finance & Strategy (Remote)

About the Role

deskbird is seeking a motivated Working Student - Finance & Strategy to join our remote team. This role is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in finance, strategy, and business operations while working in a dynamic SaaS environment.

What You'll Do

• Support financial planning, analysis, and investor reporting with a strong data-driven mindset.
• Contribute to strategic projects that directly impact business operations and company performance.
• Leverage AI tools, including Claude and Cowork, to streamline workflows and automate reporting.
• Take ownership of improvement initiatives from ideation through to implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, with at least 12 months remaining.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Comfortable using AI tools, particularly Claude and Cowork.
• Very strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Previous experience in a high-velocity environment (e.g., Start-Up, VC/PE, IB, Consulting) is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted coding (e.g., using the Claude plugin in VS Code).
