Technical Project Buyer - Remote Position in Light Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Buyer to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Technical Project Buyer remote position, you will be responsible for executing Permanent Point of Sale and Retail Fixtures for leading client brands. You will leverage your expertise in materials and supplier engagement to drive project success.

What You'll Do

• Research and identify potential new suppliers globally, ensuring effective handovers and multi-party engagement.
• Utilize your product knowledge to source 3rd party manufacturing and assembly capabilities from technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with pricing and execution standards while meeting savings targets and category KPIs.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to compile technical drawings and BOM for projects.
• Compile RFQ documents for tenders and liaise with suppliers regarding details and recommendations.

Requirements

• Experience in technical buying and sourcing outsourced manufacturing capacity.
• Strong understanding of materials including Wood, Metal, and Plastic.
• Familiarity with quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage RFQ and tender processes from specification to award.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Permanent Point of Sale Materials and Retail Display.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of Excel proficiency.
• Demonstrated relationship management skills within cross-functional teams.
